Damselfly Nymph

I love nature and learning about all the fantastic creatures that we share this planet with but it does not absorb my thoughts, so I can honestly say I never even wondered about the life cycle of a Damselfly. As a matter of fact I think it was only a year or two ago that I learned that what I had thought was a Dragonfly was in reality it's cousin the Damselfly. But back to this photo. I happened to see this little creature while we were at the Lake Sheridan in July. Of course I had no idea what it was so I just had to do a bit of research. It didn't take me long to discover this was a Damselfly nymph.

Wings of Reflection

I absolutely love the way a dragonfly's wings capture the light, reflecting it in a glitter of iridescent color.
