Royal Swedish Navy schooner "HMS Falken"

Yesterday I joined a group of photographers at Waterside in down town Norfolk to photograph and tour the Royal Swedish Navy sail training schooner "HMS Falken", which was in port for a few days.
The public was invited to tour the ship for free between 1-4pm Thursday and again Saturday. Here a young girl gets a peek through a porthole in one of the hatches that led down below.

With an overall length of just 132ft the ship which has 9 officers, 19 midshipmen and 5 crew members seemed very small.
The Captain was telling us how their visit to Norfolk was planned to coincide with the 150th anniversary of the first Swedish settlement in America.

The thing I like most about living here in Norfolk is having the opportunity to see all these amazing ships and meet people from all around the world.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you have enjoyed this look at Norfolk.
