Weekend Reflection: Red and White Ze'car

The Ze(bra)car
White Zebra stripes on a red car! I do believe I just might be nuts enough to get a paint job like this reflection.

If you have enjoyed this reflection or have one to share hop over the Jame's Weekend Reflection to join in the fun.

Surprize! You're on Nita's Candid Faces

Just a few candid shots
My Grandson wasn't too happy his friends weren't at the park.
This cute little girl was there though.

Mr. G aka: my son in law. Listening intently to Mrs. G
Gotcha! A friend of Mr. G's who didn't know I was taking this till he heard the shutter.
A random cowboy walking down the street. Isn't he cute!

Jimmy's Watching

Today over at Artistic Composition I shared an article and photo journal about the amazing John Cary-Weston house. While photographing the home for the article I captured a few shots of the family pet Jimmy. Isn't he gorgeous!

T.G.I.F.

Friday is here and I am so glad to be here taking part in two of my favorite blog hops. It seems like forever since I last took photos to share on Jame's Weekend Reflections or on Skywatch Friday. So without any more ado here are the shots I took today for this post.

Today's inspiration came from my Son-In-Law's Harley

And now for a direct shot of the gorgeous sky.
If you enjoy reflections and watching the sky come join in the fun.

Living In The Past

I would be all for living in the past if it meant living in this historic kitchen converted into a little house.
Pictured is the upstairs of the 1 1/2 story building that served as the kitchen house for the home of John Cary-Weston in the late 1800's.

In-depth article featuring an interview with the current owner and photo journal of the John Cary-Weston house including more pictures of the quaint kitchen house apartment will be published on Artistic Composition this coming Sunday June 9th.

Beyond the back gate

This is the view just beyond our back yard. Isn't it gorgeous!
(Click on photo to see larger version)

This morning I went on a brief exploration in the opposite direction of this photo. If I am feeling adventurous tomorrow I will go explore in the other direction.
The field dips into a ravine with some well worn ATV and bike paths that snake through the grass.
Thanks to the uneven ground it was rather easy to get shots that you could not see much of the housing track that is just beyond the field.
The grass is actually rather tall, in some spots it was at least a foot high. I am rather glad I decided to wear jeans, tennis shoes and a sweatshirt instead of my usual Capri's, sandals and a sleeveless top. Not only was it a bit windy but who knows there could be poison oak or something.

Of course I didn't even think of the possibility until I saw these odd looking leaves.
But that didn't stop me, I was enjoying myself way too much.

Not sure what type of seed pod this is but I thought they looked rather neat.
So there you have it, a few sights just beyond my back gate.
