Friday Mix

Friday Sky Watch
Our skies have been full of clouds for much of the last few weeks. Between thunderstorms and persistent drizzle the hills are turning a beautiful green. At least we haven't had the severe flooding that is going on elsewhere.

Weekend Reflections
Mirrored windows offer such wonderful frames for nice reflections.
Nature Walk
This was taken at the end of last month when I convinced a friend to join me for a photographic nature walk. Thankfully the ground wasn't too wet for us to get down and capture a few shots of what I call belly flowers. You know those itty-bitty flowers that you have to lay on your belly to get a good look at them.

Signs
This fun sign guides visitors of Main Street Square in down town Rapid City, SD.
I hope you have enjoyed my Friday mix.
Have a Great Weekend!

Why So Serious?

Usually when I photograph statues I try to capture the entire statue, but I was so drawn to the serious facial expression on this one that I snapped only the head shot.

Seriously though I really have to go back down town and take more photos of this statue as well as write down the name of the President because for the life of me I can't remember who he is.... LOL

Afternoon in Rapid City

A bit of Reflections

The Pennington County Courthouse is a gorgeous bit of architecture and those arched windows do such a lovely job reflecting the afternoon sky.
One thing that still amazes me even after so many years living in South Dakota is the appearance of the moon in the mid afternoon sky.

Keep Your Distance

Now I don't speak squirrel, but I could swear this little guy was telling me to keep my distance.
