Still My Steal Heart

If someone would have told me even two years ago that my heart would race at the sight of steal I would have laughed. However, over that last few years I have been exploring a wider range of photographic subjects and now I tend to get rather excited about the oddest of things. Like this close up of the inside of a steal tube.

Be sure to click on the photo for a larger view, that way you get the full effect and can see the fine streaks of color in the metal.

Or these droplets of water on the windshield, which I shared here.

Then my mind say, 'hey these two would make a really cool composite art piece' and walla; The water drops photo becomes a hard light layer over the steal photo.

And that is how my abstract mind works, especially when shooting macro and abstract photographs. Now hop over to Lisa's Chaos and enjoy some of the great macro photos shared this week.

Very clever! It's good to know that I'm not the only one who gets excited about weird stuff!

I love who you've combined the softness of the water with the hardness of steal.

Beautiful shots.Since I take my camera with almost all the time I can get excited about the most peculiar things...blurred visions of the moon or water puddles! Really like what you are doing-will visit again.

hard verses soft was a big part of what got me thinking of combining the two shots.

This is pretty clever, Nita. Of course, my mind is too literal to attempt things like this. We need all kinds, don't we?
